It was strange stuff then. Was the famous house of kick girls and can-can cabaret hit by material fatigue?

Moulin Rouge, The Red Mill, wouldn’t be quite the same without the world-famous windmill up on the roof.

But between 02 and 03 on Thursday night, the big wings just fell into the asphalt together with the three letters M, O and U. So now there is not even Moulin Rouge above the entrance to the world’s most famous cabaret theatre. Just LIN ROUGE, in Norwegian “red linen”, nonsense.

Fortunately, no one was hurt. So therefore it was not the deep sadness that characterized the many who flocked to the Boulevard de Clichy to see how a windmill takes off completely without wings.

The Swedish tour guide Kinna Elhammar was drinking coffee on the other side of the street. She recovered after sending her group of 40 Swedes up the Eiffel Tower.

Show at the Moulin Rouge was the next item on the program. And rest assured, the performance will not be cancelled. The show must go on. Le spectacle continues.

– What do you think happened?

– They have hung there for a long time, those wings, said Swedish Elhammar.

Moulin Rouge is like the Eiffel Tower from 1889. Both show their age.
