Parting ways towards Mount Everest

--

In recent weeks, Frank Løke (44) and his girlfriend Helén Oterhals (28) have tramped up and down mountain peaks in the Himalayas, on the former’s journey towards Mount Everest.

New update

Throughout the trip, the couple has provided continuous updates, both on their own social media platforms and through press contact Torkjel Haabeth.

On Thursday there was a new update, which clearly marked Oterhals.

– Okay, now we are going to split up for the first time. I am going to Lobouche peak, which is 6,119 meters above sea level. Helén is going to Base Camp alone, says Løke on Instagram.

It has always been the plan that Oterhals will not be involved all the way to the top. In advance, the plan was for her to wait at Base Camp (5364 m). After the couple arrived in the Himalayas and began the expedition, however, she has been thinking about joining Camp 1 (6100 m) or a mountain peak around Base Camp.

On Thursday morning, Løke sets course for the mountain Lobuce (6119 m). He writes that the plan is also to spend the night at the top. The reason is that the peak corresponds to the height of Camp 1. Oterhals is waiting in Lobuche, before they will arrive at Base Camp on Thursday.

The case is updated!
