The Norwegian Road Administration warns in its own channels about slippery driving conditions on the E6 over Saltfjellet.
– Danger of slippery road surface, writes the Swedish Road Administration.
On Wednesday and Thursday this week, a yellow warning for snow was issued at the mountain passes in Nordland.
The meteorologist then explained to AN that the snow line was approximately 400 metres.
– A danger warning has been sent out with a view to being careful. It may be a good idea not to drive with summer tires over the mountain passes, said the meteorologist on Thursday.
The yellow warning now applies until Friday morning.
Frost
Traffic operator in the National Road Administration, Frode Jensen, tells NRK that Saltfjellet and Gratangsfjellet stand out after the night with snow and slushy conditions.
– There was also frost last night, which makes it slippery, he explains.
However, no traffic incidents have occurred.
– There are a couple of pieces with summer tires that have spent a little extra time over the mountain. On the other mountain passes, the conditions are relatively good, says Jensen.
