Information from Asker Sailing Association
Calle Andersen • We have put the annual meeting behind us with the election of new members to the board, control committee and election committee. On this occasion, I would like to thank Folker Den Braber, who has put two years behind him as first deputy chairman, Øistein Skyberg with four years as board member and plant manager, Bjørn Ottar Wille with three years as deputy member, Eirik Tenningen and Geir Melby for two years in the control committee and finally Audun Gjøstein for three years in the election committee. Everyone has made a great effort and contributed to continuity in our association’s work.
Now old and new “brooms” are underway, and the following are included, some re-elected and some new. We welcome Geir Melby back as first deputy chairman after two years in the control committee. Geir will be a good supporter on the financial side. Sue Penty (new) is an experienced sailor who will be able to contribute well to the sporting side, and Jostein Houmstuen (new) will be a good link to the gang at Børsholmen. New to the control committee is Bjørn Ottar Wille, and Albert Roll was re-elected. We welcome Carl Hjalmar Knap as a new member of the election committee.
Asker Seilforening has several traditional events, such as Oslofjord Rundt and AskerOptimisten. We have normally held anywhere from one to three national championships throughout the season. This year we will organize three national championships and further develop Asker Rundt.

Week 26, 27, 31, 32, 33: Sea spray
16 – 18 August: NM Finnjolle
17 August: Asker Rundt for doublehanded, singlehanded and a separate regatta for touring sailors.
24 – 25 August: AskerOptimisten

New strategic plan
Calle Andersen • Now is the time to make plans for the next four years. This is a job where everyone has to be involved. Thoughts, ideas, experiences and innovations must help shape the period. What will be the vision for the next four years? What goals should we set, and what values do we want to share with each other and give new members?
