In the past, the nightclub and restaurant, strategically located on the corner of Kremmergaarden, have been closed on Sundays and public holidays, but this will now change.
– We must be open every day, even on red days, to see if there is something the city needs. On red days, much is closed in the city, so we have decided to try to see if this is something that catches on. There are also tourist ships coming on those days and the tourists are also looking for places that are open. I am excited to see how it will be received already on Thursday, which is Ascension Day, says May Britt Husby.
– I am very positive and have great faith in this. I’m sure there are a lot of people who want to go out then too. On Thursday, we will serve potato balls and there are probably many eel drinkers who would like that, she adds.
More seating outside
For a long time there has been work in Korsegata just outside the area where Vinni Bar and Restaurant has outdoor seating. The work is now over, and therefore Husby is looking forward to welcoming guests in the future.
– It is incredibly nice that they have finished the work, because there was a lot of noise and dust last year. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday the weather was brilliant, so a lot of people came by. We have noticed that when the weather is nice, there are not enough outdoor restaurants in the city, says Husby.
– We also wanted to get seats outside, so we have done something about that. Among other things, we have created several seating groups. The town hall blocks part of the view, but it also protects well from the wind, which makes it nice to sit outside here.
And the changes are noticed.
– So incredibly wonderful that you have got it. It has become really cozy, said a casual passer-by.
Private arrangements
Vinni Bar and Restaurant also opens up for the final teams.
– We will focus more on private events in the evening, so whether it is a 40th, 50th or 60th birthday, people are most welcome to book.
– And then I have to remind people that we have full rights. Many people think we are just a café, but it has been a few years since we had the opportunity to sell food and alcohol both inside and outside, adds Husby.
