On Monday morning, Rødt politician Mona Osman writes that the photo she posted on Facebook on May 1 “was supposed to be funny”.
– It should be funny because all up-to-date people who watch the news and followed along a bit in history class (948-49- today) understand that Norway’s foreign minister has neither been radicalized nor stands for these positions, writes Osman.
In the photo Osman published on Facebook on May 1, she is holding up a poster with the words “Fuck Israel – Fuck capitalism – Fuck NATO”. Standing next to her is Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide.
“Today I have radicalized Espen Barth Eide!” she wrote above the picture.
– The photo was taken on 1 May and the foreign minister obviously did not know that he was to be pictured with exactly these slogans, she writes further.
VG has asked the foreign minister for a comment on Osman’s statement that the photo was taken with humour.
– We note the statement in the media, writes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an e-mail to VG.
