The man in his 20s is seriously injured after several shots were fired from the street outside Beirut Kebab on Greenland in Oslo on the night of Sunday.

So far, no one has been arrested for the shooting, which police are investigating as attempted murder.

Last autumn, the police gave the man in his 20s a ban on staying in the Greenland/Vaterland area, but the residence banA legal order prohibiting a person from being in a certain area. was later annulled by the Oslo District Court.

Shooting in the street

At the end of April 2022, the man in his 20s was injured in another shooting incident on the street outside Beirut Kebab.

Shots were then allegedly fired between two criminal groups in the capital, according to a ruling from Borgarting Court of AppealA higher court in Norway that hears appeals against judgments from the district courts..

At that time, shots were reportedly fired from a car at people on the street outside Beirut Kebab. The police believe that the people in the street then fired back at the car.

The ruling states that the man in his 20s must have been hit in the leg and left the scene limping.

A short time later, the car that the police linked to the shooting incident is said to have been found burned out at Ingierstrand, just outside the Søndre Nordstrand district in Oslo.

As far as VG knows, no one has been convicted for the shooting incident in April 2022.

Found a gun

The police believe that Sunday’s shooting was not random, and are investigating current lines of conflict in the Greenland area which they believe may be related.

Cartridge casings and a nine millimeter Taurus brand pistol were found close to the crime scene.

– We have not been 100 per cent confirmed that this is the weapon that was used, but there is a high probability that it is, says Hafsahl.

The police have collected material from surveillance cameras in the area, of which there are many, but will not say whether the perpetrator has been caught on film.

– What I can say is that there are several interesting people that we want to get in touch with, says the police attorney.

Not familiar with conflict

The condition of the man in his 20s is still seriously damaged, but the police have been told that he is out of danger.

He has not yet been questioned.

Assistance lawyerA lawyer who represents the interests of victims in a criminal case. Bjørn Aksel Henriksen has previously told VG that he is not aware of anything other than that his client was eating at the restaurant when shots were fired.

– I know there were many people there, so I don’t know if the shots were meant for him. I am not aware that there has been any conflict which means that he should have been the target of the shots, says Henriksen.
