Bondevik is currently working on a book project, but has been associated with the association since August 2023 in a project position that has investigated and made plans for Fornybar Norge’s work with recruitment and follow-up of members. This will also be his main tasks in the new position. He will also have special responsibility for indigenous issues and the export of renewable technology.

Bondevik has extensive managerial experience and has been in the renewables industry for several years, including as public relations in Troms Kraft. Previously, he was the Norwegian Trade Council in South America and head of Innovation Norway in Troms and on Svalbard. He has worked for many years as director of communications, for example in the Directorate of Health, Nofima and the Army. Bondevik has a master’s degree in linguistics and further education in management.

– It feels good to be back in the renewable industry. There are no industries to which greater expectations are attached right now, and I like that. There is a lot of innovation and development that is exciting to follow, and hopefully we will get more and more members aiming internationally. At the same time, one of our biggest tasks right now is to get Norwegian society’s acceptance of the power lift we are facing. Then we have to talk well together within the industry so that we are equipped to meet the demands and expectations of the world around us, says Bondevik.

Renewable Norway aims to represent the renewable industry in the broadest sense. The traditional power players still form the backbone of the association, but the aim is to include everyone wholee value chain which deals with renewable energy.

– We are in an exciting period of growth, where it is not only us who invite the companies to the renewal bar, but also a business community that increasingly comes to us because they want to participate in the green shift. That’s why I’m glad that we’ve got such an experienced manager as Stein-Gunnar in our team, with international experience and a background from many different sectors in Norway. But above all, he is very good with people, and creates a good atmosphere around him. I therefore believe that our members, both existing and new, are in the best hands, says Åslaug Haga, head of Fornybar Norge.

Bondevik takes office on 1 August 2024.
