Crime and justice: One person has been in contact with the powder, but no injuries have yet been reported, the police in Sørvest said on Monday afternoon.

The police bomb squad is on its way to investigate the contents. The group will arrive from Oslo by helicopter, and they will arrive at 8pm at the latest. The police were notified of the case at 3.40pm.

A spokesperson for the mosque says it is white powder.

– A person with us opened a letter which contained several hat threats and some white powder, says the mosque’s spokesperson Ahmet Coksurer to Stavanger Aftenblad.

According to VG, PST has been informed about the case and is assisting the local police.

Chemical divers from the local fire service are on the scene. They secure the area, but leave the investigation of the contents to the bomb squad.

Ten people have been in the building, according to Aftenbladet. So far, two of them have been evacuated through a clean-up tent. All must be taken to hospital for examination.

The police are in contact with them, but no one has yet been questioned, the police initially reported.
