Medicine and health: Over 250 pupils jumped rope in the school yard at Madlavoll School in Stavanger on Monday. The Minister of Education was in place at the primary school she herself attended as a child, to open the national jump rope competition Jump for the Heart.

This is the 19th time the jump rope competition has been held. School classes of 4.–7. steps can participate.

Around 100,000 pupils from half of the country’s primary schools participate annually, according to the National Association for Public Health.

The competition ends on 8 May. A winner is chosen from among the schools that have jumped the most. The prize is NOK 10,000 for the class fund.
