Sick of falling?

– Recently, we have seen several matches where teams that are behind in the match in question drag out the time by certain players lying down on the field for no good reason. Such unsporting behavior can be limited by the fact that in important matches there is always at least one stretcher team on each long side who is immediately called by the referee and carries the relevant “actor” out, after which the match is immediately continued. The coach for the team informs the referee when the player is “fit for fight” again. And the trainer is required to spend at least 5 minutes on the assessment. Such a procedure will probably immediately lead to a limitation of the pervasive “falling sickness” on some of the elite league teams.

– Fazia 26 wants to have a quiet place to pray (Summetonen 23 April). There are mosques, churches, different religious communities, houses of prayer, etc. to find a quiet place to pray, meditate. Surely it is the same creator we pray to, just in different packaging?

– I was very upset when I read that someone had thrown eggs at Sydnæs Battalion when they marched from Vestre Torggaten towards Johanneskirken last Saturday. It was sad and shameful. Don’t they understand what a bow corps is? The boys are mates, they have fun together. There are no criminals, they are all well behaved. If people can’t stand the drumming, they better go away.

– Disabled young people should not have to show a courtesy card on public transport. Health should be a private matter. But those of us who make use of the courtesy discount and are not old-age pensioners must show the blue card in front of the entire bus, every time there is a check. Most people probably mind their own business. But there are still plenty of likely scenarios where this could be unfortunate. Imagine a person to whom you do not want to reveal something like this, and you are sitting on the bus together and an inspector comes. Then there is a risk that you will rather take the brunt and pretend that you have not paid. In these computerized days, it should be possible to register the credit card in the app and get the price you want, without having to reveal sensitive details. This means that the ticket should not say “courtesy” either. It will make the job easier for the inspectors as well. I see that many of them do not think it is pleasant to ask for additional identification. There are certainly those who do not think this is a problem, but they can just carry on as before.
