On Thursday morning, two more people were arrested in connection with the shooting in a business premises in Tvetenveien on Bryn in Oslo on 15 April.
A man in his late teens was shot and himself notified the police about the incident. He was seriously injured, but not life-threatening.
– Not aware of the incident
One of the accused is a minor and is charged with attempted murder. His defender, lawyer Elin Grinde, informs Dagbladet that her client does not plead guilty.
– My client does not plead guilty, and explains that he does not know about the incident, says Grinde.
Her client was questioned on Thursday afternoon.
The other accused is in his late teens and is charged with complicity in attempted murder. Both are Norwegian citizens and previously known to the police.
– It is on the basis of obtained video surveillance, questioning in the case and review of several electronic seizures that we believe there are grounds for suspicion against two people, says police prosecutor Henrik Rådal in the Oslo police district to Dagbladet.
The second accused has been appointed lawyer Håkon Marius Svendsen as defense counsel. He currently does not wish to comment on the matter.
All the remaining defendants deny criminal guilt, their respective defenders told Dagbladet last week.
Two released: – Does not rule out more arrests
Conflict in the youth environment
The police believe the shooting was an attempted murder linked to a criminal youth environment.
– The police are beginning to get a better overview of the sequence of events and link the act itself to a conflict in a youth environment. We see it in connection with previous lines of conflict in this environment. An important part of the investigation is to map these conflicts against the incident, both in terms of roles and motives, says Rådal.
– Do the police believe that this was a planned murder attempt?
– As the case stands now, there are indications that this incident was planned, says the police attorney.
There could be more arrests
The police believe a handgun was used in the shooting, but have not found the weapon.
– At the present time, it is a little too early for the police to say anything clear about the motive, beyond the fact that we have formed a picture of what the motive is, and that there are several lines of conflict that go back in time, says Rådal.
The police do not rule out more arrests in the case.
– There are a total of six accused in the case. Two were released at an earlier time, and the suspicion against them has weakened. Two are in custody and two more were arrested today. They have explained that they want to be questioned, so this will hopefully be carried out during the day, he says.
