The undersigned has had an annual pass at Aspmyra for many years. And watch all I can of Glimt’s home games. I have a fixed place in the field, quite close to where the supports are. Much good has been said about the supporters’ contribution to the club. I have agreed with that. They have been fantastic, both outside and at home. But after what I experienced last time against Molde, and to a slightly lesser extent earlier, I wondered for the first time whether I would be able to go and watch the next matches.

When the pyro was lit, large parts of the stands and parts of the pitch were covered in foul-smelling fog. It was so bad that I had to wear my glitter scarf over my nose and mouth for several minutes. In addition, it stung badly in the eyes. I am not allergic or suffer from asthma. And I can only imagine how people with such chronic conditions felt. Should I, and several others with me, have to watch the home games on TV, because some selfish supporters have to live and die to light flares to get in the mood?
