Double triumph at home – fvn.no

--

The first race of the year was run on home ground in Kristiansand. It ended with two first places in the elite track, so I must say I am very satisfied. A few small mistakes here and there, but otherwise good.

Saturday’s race ended with a clear victory. Even though the hail came very unexpectedly in the middle of the race and the sections just got smoother, I actually just did better and better each lap.

Sunday’s race was somewhat smoother, but at the end of the race I drove away from the others, who got more points. I therefore won both days by a good margin. This weekend I had Gunder Felix as a reminder, when dad was the convention leader. It worked very well. We worked well together and had two very nice days in the forest.

At the time of writing, I am at the Olympiatoppen in Oslo together with my teammates in Team Norway Utvikling and other national motorsport teams. Here we will practice trials and have physical training. After the meeting, I will go directly to a race on Kråkerøy next weekend to get more race training. Competitions are always more exciting and more mentally challenging than regular training.

On Saturday 11 May I go to Japan to race the first two of 14 WC rounds. This will be very exciting and I’m really looking forward to it. Others who have been there before say it is an experience of a lifetime. I am very grateful to have the opportunity. I myself have no faith in getting high on the list, as there are many good and older drivers in the second highest class (trial 2). My goal is to improve from last year.
