That Norway can be judged in Strasbourg for violating the child’s rights and human rights is in itself a terribly serious matter. We like to think of ourselves as a human rights nation. And then we have been judged in the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) 24, 30 or 37 times. The figures come from lawyers and experts who have followed closely the cases in which Norway has been sentenced in the ECtHR. There should not be any nations in Europe that have been convicted more than once. It’s tragic and it’s embarrassing.
