Eftir launched a brand new department at Aker Brygge last week – a purely men’s department. Since Eftir established itself on the pier in August last year, they have experienced great success with their vintage and reuse concept, and the demand for vintage for men has increased.

Now they want to meet the demand and show that a used Oscar Jacobson is as good an investment, if not better, than a new one. Aker Brygge has long been a well-known shopping and food destination in Oslo, and with its diverse but quality-conscious public, the district is an important part of the city’s development. Now they will have their first slow fashion men’s destination!

With this, Eftir and Aker Brygge are taking an important step towards achieving today’s and future’s sustainability goals, where circular economy is a large part of the objective. They want to challenge an entire district to join the shopping pattern of the future!

Mim Stang, Marketing and Communications Manager at Aker Brygge, believes that Eftir is an important contribution to Aker Brygge.

“Eftir has been a great and important addition here at Aker Brygge, that they are now investing further in the men’s segment is incredibly exciting and this is something that we miss, both in the city and in general, but perhaps especially in our district. It is high time to challenge more men to make use of sustainable choices in fashion, and we are very proud to be able to facilitate this.”

Norwegian Property has a strong focus on sustainability, and they facilitate local initiatives that have a positive, global effect. With Eftir, they get a concept with joint ambitions around sustainability and quality in trade.

The department at Aker Brygge opens in collaboration with Ditto

Ditto is Norway’s largest Buy-Sell-Trade Second-Hand store that focuses on designer clothes, streetwear, vintage and sneakers. The store is run by general manager and founder Salar Bahador, together with co-owners Didrik Dahr Nygaard and Robert Andre Pei Johnsen and a number of other employees.

Ditto started as a pop-up concept in 2017, and eventually became Norway’s most sought-after pop-up concept right up until 2019, when we decided to start a permanent store. From 2019 until today, they have run their shop at Bogstadveien and have grown to become the strong brand that they are today.

“After many years of running a store, we saw that the concept and brand extend further than just our corner premises on Industrigata, therefore Aker Brygge and Eftir were the perfect collaboration to take the concept further. Together with Eftir, we will give Oslo the best men’s (and women’s) department for second-hand designer clothes with a selection that cannot be found anywhere else. This is going to be big! , « Salar Bahador, founder and general manager of Ditto

Behind Eftir are the founders: Cecilie Ova Nielsen and Nina Skui Lohk.
