The EBU tells Aftonbladet that they are now investigating an incident linked to the Dutch artist after yesterday’s semi-final. The statement from the EBU also states that Joost will not participate in the rehearsal until further notice.
According to the Dutch newspaper AD, Joost should not have been allowed to take today’s test.
As the stage crew were about to start setting up his performance, they were told to go back.
The Dutch artist was scheduled to perform shortly after the feature from Luxemburg, but instead Israel came on stage with the contribution “Hurricane”. Israel will play after the Netherlands in tomorrow’s final.
Criticized Israel during press conference
Joost criticized Eden Golan during the press conference after the second semi-final last night.
When Golan is asked if she has thought that she could be a threat to other participants and the public just by showing up, SVT’s Jovan Radomir, who hosts the press conference, replies that she does not need to answer that.
To that, Joost Klein breaks in and asks:
– Why not?
Klein sat next to Eden Golan during the press conference. He covered his head with the Dutch flag and hid under it.
