The TV channel NRK invested heavily in season 1 of the local drama series.
Married couple Silje Salomonsen and Arild Østin Ommundsen from Chezville AS spent the spring of 2022 recording “Evy and always”.
From Friday 6 January last year, all eight episodes could be streamed at once on NRK’s website.

According to Salomonsen, the series was one of the two most watched, at NRK entertainment.

Love to Sandnes
The director couple Salomonsen and Østin Ommundsen went through 50 intensive shooting days.
The vast majority of them were done at various locations in Sandnes, and the rest were mostly from Jæren.
– We really want to create the feeling that this comes from Sandnes. It must be experienced locally and be associated with something positive. Nothing is better than that it comes concretely from a specific place, Østin Ommundsen told Sandnesposten, and added;
– I come from Stavanger and Silje is from Randaberg, which is only a short way from Sandnes. Now that the series has been made, I feel an extra love for Sandnes and Jæren.
The couple both have connections to Sandnes from before.
Østin Ommundsen has, among other things, a history of being active in Sandnes IL throughout his youth.
New season
After the series was made available online, there has been great local interest in several of the locations used in the series.
Among other things, the premises in Flintergata, with the name “Skeies confection” have been a favorite place to be photographed.
Many have also wondered if there will be a new round of recording.
– Will there be a new round and reunion with “Evy and always” in the new season?
– There will not be a new round and it has never really been an issue to make a second season. The story is finished, so we in Chezville are ready for new universes within both cinema and TV series, Salomonsen replies to Sandnesposten.
