There has been a lot of tactics, lies and “alliance talk” among the participants in the TV 2 program “The Game”.

While several of the participants have shown bloody seriousness and stood out as strong players, Henrik Fladseth (35) had a slightly more reserved approach to the psychological game.

Before the comedian quit, he participated very little in “alliance talk” and whispers in the corridors, and when he quit the program it also seemed as if he had lost some of the spark to be there.

Now he reveals the reason for his resignation from TV and his views on the popular TV 2 programme.

Surprised by the concept

When the comedian guested on the podcast “Fetisha + 1” last week, he was confronted by presenter Fetisha Williams (30) about his motivation during the recording.

– I give a damn, yes. OMG. You think I play that game, don’t you? I play the game of life myself, says Fladseth and elaborates:

– Do you think I’ll be seen down in the rooms with those ladies there and “gossip” as if it were “Paradise Hotel”, or? No way. I should never have been in that thing. I wasn’t going to go into a room and talk tactics and make alliances. It was sure and certainly yes, he says with a twinkle in his eye.

Henrik Fladseth has not yet responded to Nettavisen’s inquiries.

Before the recording, none of the participants knew what kind of TV concept they had agreed to take part in.

“The twelve players are transported to a secret destination. There they will live together completely unaware of what they are supposed to do, and which rules apply,” said the press release from TV 2.

Fladseth says in the podcast that he expected to explore an old castle and solve a number of psychological questions, similar to the TV 2 concept “Traitor”, but was surprised by a more everyday experience.

He believes the TV concept was a kind of mixture of “Paradise Hotel”, “Big Brother” and “Traitor”.

Agreement with TV 2

According to Fladseth, at this time he was connected to TV 2 because of several other TV projects. He agreed to take part in “The Game” because of an agreement with the channel that he would take part in a reality show with them.

Fladseth says that he had told TV 2 that programs such as “Forræder” and similar, where he could show a funny side of himself, were desired, as opposed to showing tears and vulnerability, as in “Kompani Lauritzen”.

But since “The Game” was a venture project with a lot of budget and resources, and had promised a good cast, he agreed to take part.

– This is a big investment here and there are many reality concepts where you know what will happen. The fact that we don’t know anything here apart from the fact that it is a kind of social game seems very interesting to me, Fladseth told Nettavisen during the press conference for the programme.

Nettavisen has tried to get a comment from TV 2, so far without success.

Tried to tune myself out

The comedian further explains in the podcast that he has a principle of “never participating in a game that makes you not yourself” – which he believes is the reason why he had no need for a strong player and participate in “alliance talk” .

– I didn’t give a damn. I just take it easy, explains Fladseth in the podcast.

Furthermore, the comedian says that he mentioned on several occasions that it didn’t matter to him to be eliminated from the game, but that he was constantly saved by his team.

Williams points out that Martha fought hard several times for the comedian not to be sent home. Something Fladseth also appreciated, but says that afterwards he had to emphasize to her that he never asked to be saved.

– I am very happy with Martha. She always says: “I saved their asses in there”. Sure, but I never asked to be saved, he laughingly points out to Williams.

Fladseth says that in retrospect he did not know how much drama, intrigue and alliances took place in the house they lived in. The comedian would rather spend his time on the balcony, drinking wine and talking to the others and playing chess.

– I sat on the veranda, as I do on holiday.
