The TV celebrity and the rest of the world got the news just before the weekend that CBS is putting an end to the crime series “NCIS: Hawai’i”.
Only two weeks have passed since Lachey gleefully wrote on Instagram that she was “speechless” at the great headlines in connection with the series.
The 43-year-old was the first woman to get the lead role in the “NCIS” universe, as special agent Jane Tennant.
«Thank you so much to CBS and Paramount for believing in me and this groundbreaking show», Lachey wrote and thanked everyone who has contributed to her ending up there.
«Love my job“, she added.
But the happiness did not last.
On Friday, CBS announced that “NCIS: Hawai’i” will be canceled after three seasons. The very last episode airs in the US on May 6.
«Shocked, confused and taken to bed,” Lachey wrote on InstaStory the same day, according to Entertainment Tonight.
The TV star, also known as presenter of, among other things, the reality series “Love is Blind”, thanked the fans for their support.
Lachey told her 1.1 million followers that the news “is a lot to digest” but that she is focusing on her family.
Lachey has three children with her husband Nick Lachey (50), who is her co-host in “Love is Blind” and other reality series.
On Sunday evening, Vanessa again shared a heartfelt sigh, in which she states that her daughter is doing her best to make her smile.
«This decision was bigger than a TV show», she writes.
TV 2 Play, SkyShowtime and Strim broadcast “NCIS: Hawai’i”.
