– Total shock

--

“I am 60 years old. I have never been more surprised in my entire life than I was now. Not once in 60 years. This is the biggest shock,” said TV 2 profile Erik Thorstvedt in the previous round of “The Game”.

Thorstvedt’s statement came on the eve of the previous episode – at the time of writing – of the programme.

The former footballer had just been warned that he was going to be voted on by several of the other contestants, and it seemed as though the 61-year-old was going to storm out.

Explains detail: – A principle

Despite the assumptions, in the end it was Subjekt editor Danby Choi who had to thank for his part in “The Game”.

This caused a very surprised Thorstvedt to react, among other things with the words at the top of the case.

– That is the sickest thing I have ever experienced. It was a total shock, the former national player repeated later.

Answers

The strong statements from an apparently relieved Thorstvedt may have caused some to react.

Is this the sickest thing he’s ever experienced? Has Thorstvedt, with international matches, Premier League matches and a slew of titles on his CV, never been more surprised?

Dagbladet had to – or chose – to unravel this.

– Have you never been more surprised, Erik?

– No, I actually don’t have it. We had some sort of agreement that Vidar (Magnussen) would give me a sign if there was a chance. That sign never came. I had sent a message to those at home that I was coming home. It was a total shock. I was one hundred percent sure, says Thorstvedt.

– What about the 2-0 victory over England in 1993 (World Cup qualification)?

– This was in a way a momentary thing, something that happens in one second. But for anyone who watched the England game, it was not surprising. We were not in any great shock, says the TV 2 profiler who played the entire game against England.

– What about the FA Cup victory for Tottenham in 1991? Wasn’t that more surprising?

– There was no bomb. The biggest bombshell is that Tottenham have not won anything since then, says the former Totteham player.

It should be said that the London team won the League Cup in 2008.

– What’s the biggest shock you’ve experienced on the football field then, if those above don’t reach the top?

– I think we beat Italy in a training match in the 80s once. What happened to “Drillo” afterwards was no shock, Thorstvedt answers confidently.

The TV 2 profile thus stands its ground. The incident inside the “Game” house is the most surprising thing he has experienced. Thorstvedt – who has been a central figure in the series – is clear that the experience in the TV program was good.

– I enjoyed myself, he admits.
