After metoo , there has been a clean-up in several industries, and Hollywood is undoubtedly one of them.
Now, for example, intimacy coordinators who have to make sure that the actors are comfortable during the recording of sex scenes have become more and more common.
In the 2000s, however, it was different. Actress Anne Hathaway (41) tells about it in a longer interview with V Magazine.

Hathaway tells of an incident in the 2000s where she had been given a role, but had to undergo a so-called “chemistry test” to find out who she should play against. The test consisted of her having to flirt with ten different men, to see which of them she had the best chemistry with.
– I was told: “we have ten boys arriving today, and you have been given the role. Isn’t it exciting to have to cuddle with them all?” she tells the magazine, before continuing:

– I thought: “Is there something wrong with me?” because I didn’t think it was exciting. I think it sounded disgusting.
Hathaway is said to have been very young at the time, and afraid of losing everything by being labeled as “difficult” in the industry. Therefore, she must have pretended that she found it exciting.
The 41-year-old did not elaborate on which film it was about, but pointed out that this was in a completely different time, and that people now know better even in Hollywood.
