For several years, Lilli Bendriss (77) and Shad Tabine (49), 28 years younger, have had an on-and-off relationship.

They first became a couple in 2017, but have gone their separate ways several times.

On Saturday evening, the two appeared together on the red carpet in connection with the Gullruten in Bergen, and there the two could reveal to Nettavisen that they have found their way back to each other – again.

– She is my soulmate

At the latest in February, Bendriss stated that she was “a bit single”, but as so many times before, she has found her way back to Tabine, who is 28 years younger.

As one might have realized, it is not so easy to be wise about the relationship between the two turtle doves, but Bendriss explains to Nettavisen that it is relatively “simple”.

– Sometimes we are not together. But then we decided to be together again. It’s that simple, she says with a good laugh from her partner.

When asked if the two are happy together, they both nod in the affirmative.

– We are always happy, Tabine says before Bendriss chimes in:

– Shad is a very fun person to be with, and he treats me incredibly well. I feel like a queen.

What makes them always find their way back to each other, the couple explains, takes place in a way that the rest of us can’t see: through soul communication.

– She is my soul mate, says Tabine.

Don’t want to get married

Although the couple now appear to be happy together, they have no plans to take their relationship further.

Bendriss says that they spend a lot of time together, both at home and when travelling, and that Tabine lives with her when he is visiting Oslo.

But according to Bendriss, there is no “next step” in their relationship.

– There is no next step. We’re not getting married if that’s what you’re asking, says Bendriss with a smile.

– Don’t you want to get married?

– We don’t believe in marriage. We believe that we are soul mates and that we are together.
