Now Flatland shares about a predicament she recently found herself in, which led her to make an emergency phone call to her husband.
– Just getting worse and worse
– Today I had one of my less proud moments as a mother. I can say as much as I was outside the nursery to collect the children, and had to call you for help. An SOS phone was sent to you at work, and you simply had to come and help me, Flatland opens the episode with, addressed to her husband.

Just before the mother of two was to collect her sons from nursery school, she had taken a spray tan ahead of a photo shoot.
After the lesson, the 34-year-old had been told to keep as calm as possible, after which the presenter asked if it would be okay to pick up the children from the nursery.

– Then she says: “Yes, but the first three hours are critical”. And for those who haven’t had a spray tan, then you become like a carrot, and it only gets worse and worse as the day goes on. So one thing is the mental thing I had to go through by going into the nursery and looking like I did, but I thought: “No, I can’t resist doing that”. So I drove up to the kindergarten, explains Flatland.
– Take it too far
However, the TV profile gets cold feet as the color keeps getting darker. Parked outside her sons’ nursery school, she takes the aforementioned SOS telephone to Dobloug and asks him to come to her aid.
Thus, Dobloug has to explain to his medical colleagues why he has to leave work suddenly.
– “I now have to leave here and collect from the nursery because my wife has had a spray tan and believes that she cannot collect the children from the nursery because of that”, he says of the explanation.

– Heavy at times
The couple became parents for the first time in 2020 when they were able to welcome their son Bernard (3) into the world. Two years later, they became parents for the second time to Bastian (1).
Sharing happy news
Flatland and Dobloug have several times spoken warmly about family life, but also about the various reflections it entails.
– One of the things that happens when you become a mother is that you go from being just yourself to becoming something more. Then you can think a bit “who am I now?”, Flatland has previously told when she guested on the podcast “My child-rearing”.

In the same podcast, Flatland shared that the couple has no plans to have more children, but that at the same time they have not completely put a lid on the idea.
– I don’t feel quite finished […]. The whole package with children and that. The age of zero to two years is tough, and it is heavy at times. But I just feel like we love life as a family. Imagine if we were lucky enough to do it again.
