The ex of Taylor Swift alias Matty Healy is confronted with questions about these song(s) on The Tortured Poets Department.

When Taylor Swift announced her eleventh album, many assumed it was Joe Alwyn’s turn to be reviewed.

They were a bit wrong there.

In any case, fans were a bit surprised when they discovered that The 1975 vocalist Matty Healy was the tortured poet.

After a dedicated analysis, Swifties have come to the conclusion that most of the songs are about the artist and the Brit’s short-lived (?) romance.

Including tracks such as the single “Fortnight”, the title track “The Tortured Poets Department” and “But Daddy I Love Him”.

You smoked, then ate seven bars of chocolate / We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist / I scratch your head, you fall asleep / Like a tattooed golden retriever, sings the artist on the title track.

On “But Daddy I Love Him”, many interpret Taylor’s lyrics as a comment on fans’ reactions to her romance with Matty.

In case you had forgotten; the fans (and haters) weren’t very happy for the duo.

I’ll tell you something right now / I’d rather burn my whole life down / Than listen to one more second of all this griping and moaning / I’ll tell you something about my good name / It’s mine alone to disgrace / I don’t cater to all these vipers dressed in empath’s clothingsings the 34-year-old.

However, it seems that a majority see the songs as love songs about the duo’s situationship – or situationship in good Norwegian (?)

Nevertheless, Matty Healy was recently confronted by a paparazzi about what he thinks of his ex’s diss song.

This comes after his aunt, Debbie Dedes, told the Daily Mail that he probably doesn’t care too much if he’s the inspiration behind his ex’s new album.

– She writes about all her relationships, doesn’t she? I don’t think it comes as a shock to him at all. “He’s very happy in his new relationship, so I guess he’s focusing on that,” said Aunt Debbie.

And it may sound like she’s right.

At least Matty Healy didn’t seem too bothered when asked to share his thoughts.

– This song of mine? I haven’t heard much about it, but I’m sure it’s good, says the Brit to the paparazzi.

Would be fun if Matty makes a The 1975 album about Taylor
