There has been a storm around Australian actress Rebel Wilson, after she published her autobiography “Rebel Rising” on April 2. There she describes her encounter with Hollywood.

In an entire chapter, she described what it was like to work with “a massive piece of shit”, which she did not name.

– When I first came to Hollywood, people were a bit “I have a no-shit policy”, that they didn’t want to work with shits, and it sounded sensible or logical. But then it really sunk in for me what these older people in the industry meant. Because I worked with a massive piece of shit, and now I clearly have such a policy, me too, she said in an Instagram video.

Revealed the “shithole”

Then she took to social media and revealed that it was Sacha Baron Cohen, known from the “Borat” films. The reason, according to Rebel Wilson herself, is that the Hollywood star is said to have threatened legal action to try to stop her memoirs.

– I will not be bullied into silence by expensive lawyers or PR crisis managers, read a statement on Rebel Wilson’s Instagram Story page, according to Deadline.

Publishes censored edition

Now the book has also been published in Great Britain, but a controversial part has been censored. The British edition has gossiped text that is allegedly related to just Sacha Baron Cohen, according to the BBC.

A notice explains that this has been done “because of the peculiarities of the law in England and Wales”.

– We publish every page, but for legal reasons, in the British edition, we have edited most of a page, says a spokesperson for the publisher HarperCollins to the BBC.

The entire chapter is said to have been removed in the Australian and New Zealand editions.

Denies the charges

Sacha Baron Cohen himself denies Rebel Wilson’s accusations, calling them “provably false”.

“While we understand the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false allegations are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of ‘Grimsby,'” representatives for the actor said.
