It is in Sunday’s edition of the talk show “ELSE! »on TVNorge, actor Aksel Hennie (48) opens up about the loss of his little brother.

Annan Forbes Hennie died in a parachute accident in 2011 – during a jump the two brothers made together.

In the studio, presenter Else Kåss Furuseth has just finished a round of “Hennie” or “Hellig” – where Hennie himself is served quotes that he has to guess whether it is he himself – or Jesus who has spoken.

“Tina” had a partner and children. Then she fell in love with someone at work

Hennie will play the lead role as Jesus himself when the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” is staged at Folketeateret in autumn 2024.

It is after much laughter and a good atmosphere, Kåss Furuseth suddenly asks a question that causes Aksel Hennie to sigh heavily.

Hennie begins to talk about how he once heard another who had lost his brother talk about how he was glad that the grief never got over him.

He pauses a bit before continuing:

– I don’t recognize myself in that, ass. I feel zero positives in losing a person I was so fond of, as what I was in him. I have zero benefit from feeling that longing, that sadness. It all got a little worse. And I lost myself for ten years. I found it difficult to be me for ten years.

“Mom, I don’t want to die. You have to help me”

It is completely quiet in the studio as Hennie continues.

– Every single day, I choose to move on. Because having him behind you does not mean having him behind you. That means he’s a little off to the side, instead of messing with my entire forward vision.

– And I also believe, one hundred percent, that in our society, the dead are given far too much space, often. I lost a brother – that means one of us is gone. Take care of me then. It is I remaining.

Hennie goes on to say that he has been lucky, but that he knows there are a lot of people who sit outside and don’t feel seen – because the person who is gone takes up far too much space.

“The children do not survive”

During the interview with Hennie, presenter Kåss Furuseth is clearly moved.

She herself has lost two of her closest relatives – she was only eleven years old when she experienced her mother taking her own life. 17 years later, the brother chose the same outcome.

Since then, Else Kåss Furuseth has spoken very openly about the grief that never ends – and also made her own show about the taboo subject, “Condolerer”.

Had her life turned upside down when she lost her father to suicide as an 8-year-old: – He was my hero and my fear

Right now, however, weddings are on the comedian’s mind.

Anyone who watches her talk show can also follow the preparations for the wild idea of getting married in Oslo Spektrum in April.

Much of the wedding planning has been done – but it still remains to find a groom.

Til KK has previously shared a bit about the wedding dress she intends to wear – a typical 80’s puff pastry dress.

– I don’t think it makes it any easier for me to find a man. Still, I think it’s fun to just have fun and go all in. Some people are so concerned about the rules at weddings – determined that everything should be dove blue. I rather like that everything is legal!

– I should have been a little hotter

To KK, she also told about how the vast majority of people around her thought the wedding plan was a lousy idea.

– They point out that it is being done in the wrong order. Arrange the wedding first, and then find the man of your dreams. But that’s the point. It’s not meant to hurt anyone, it’s simply that you say out loud what you have as a kind of wishful thinking. What happens if you make yourself vulnerable in front of everyone and say: “Im just a girl standing in front of you, asking for somebody to love her?”
