Lasse Stegen Hagen (28) from Hønefoss is not new to the profession. He has worked in new car sales for over ten years. He will now become general manager of a new used car shop in Hønefoss.
– The goal is for us to make a full-time living from car sales. The flood affected the building mass. There was water throughout the building. Now all the walls and floors have been refurbished. We are proud of the new premises, he says.
They started the company in March. There are many rules and processes to follow.
– OThe ppstart has entailed a lot of paperwork, and we have also experienced that it is difficult to get hold of cars. Recently, we have bought 4-5 cars. They have needed things like painting and servicing. The car market goes up and down, he says.
Hagen says that new car sales have been low recently. There have been many electric cars on the market. Now he sees a change.
– Now we see a demand for people who want diesel and petrol cars. Many have tighter finances and want cars in the 100-150,000 kroner segment.
They also carry out commission and brokerage sales for customers.
Sells to the whole country
The area near Benterud is known for its many car dealerships. Hagen believes that this is not an obstacle, but an advantage.
– We have a great location. The most important thing now is to build a good reputation. You should come here when you want to buy a used car from a serious business.
He says that the shops around sell cars to the whole country. He is looking forward to working with Per Espen Karlsen (51) from Hole, who is the general manager of the car care centre.
