Supposed to have crashed into several other vehicles – tried to flee the scene

The police say the car probably crashed into three other vehicles on the E6 in Oslo.

The police have moved to the E6 near Helsfyr in Oslo, where a collision between several cars was first reported.

– What has probably happened is that a car has rammed into several other vehicles, says Oslo police operations manager Øyvind Hammervold to VG.

There are probably three vehicles that have been hit, says Hammervold. The police received information about the incident at around 18.40 when one of the people involved made contact.

– The driver then tried to flee the scene.

– He was eventually found by the police. We have him under control now, adds the operations manager.

It is currently unclear what the cause is. Hammervold says that it still remains for the parties to explain themselves to the police.

No serious personal injuries shall be reported. Those involved are checked by health personnel.

– Right now that we are working on the site, traffic is closed. I assume it won’t be closed for long, says Hammervold.
