Triple murder: Executed his children
Walked around with a Bible
According to the newspaper, on 15 June last year, Chad Doerman walked around the house in the small town of Monroe Township with a Bible in his hand.
He then went to the gun cabinet, which was located in the bedroom he shared with his wife.
The wife reacted to the behavior.
“He scared her. She didn’t like what he was doing. She wanted to call his parents,” the court documents, which were reported by a number of US news outlets, state.
Doerman then reportedly said he was “just kidding,” and then went to bed in the master bedroom.
Shocking 911 call
His wife and three sons went to bed with him in the master bedroom – and then he allegedly took out a rifle.
Doerman shot one of the boys.
“Mora immediately called 911 and began administering first aid. In the 911 call, the mother screamed at the children, telling them to run,” the court documents state.
Followed
The couple’s other two sons, as well as Chad Doerman’s stepdaughter, ran out of the house.
He ran after them, and shot the boys.
The children’s mother was shot in the hand when she tried to stop her husband.
The stepdaughter continued to run, and was stopped by a random passerby.
“She said her father killed everyone,” the court documents state.

Has pleaded not guilty
Chad Doerman is charged with premeditated murder, kidnapping and violence.
Shortly after the triple murder, he admitted that he had planned it, according to AP.
Nevertheless, he has pleaded not guilty due to alleged mental illness. He will now be investigated for this.
His trial is expected to begin in July.
