The Hamas delegation has left the Egyptian capital Cairo and will return with an answer to the proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, according to Al-Qahera.

The TV channel, which has close ties to Egyptian intelligence, reports late on Monday evening that the delegation will come up with a written answer.
Israel has offered Hamas a truce of 40 days, British Foreign Minister David Cameron said earlier on Monday. He calls the proposal exceptionally generous.
Cameron says the proposal also involves the possible release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the remaining hostages in the Gaza Strip.
– I hope that Hamas accepts this agreement, says Cameron, who believes that the whole world should try to pressure the Palestinian group to say yes.
US Foreign Minister Antony Blinken also refers to the proposal as generous.
– They have to decide, and they have to decide quickly. I hope that they will make the right decision, said Blinken on Monday.
