Among the other articles featured in the newsletter was a personal testimony from a man who likes to dress as a woman and who says that cross-dressing and his gender identity make him a better intelligence officer.

Republican Senator Tom Cotton, who is a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee and also a US Army veteran who has been stationed in Afghanistan, said the newsletter was another example of “misplaced priorities” by the Biden administration.

“The Biden administration putting DEI above national security concerns is a tragedy,” Cotton told The Daily Wire after reviewing the newsletter. “Our intelligence agencies should spend their time finding terrorists, not worrying about offending them.”

Congressman Mike Waltz commented that the guidance in the newsletter is “absolutely insane.”
