The report, which shows that less than half a percent of Easee chargers had critical faults in 2023, will be an important document in the Förvaltningsrätten in Karlstad at the end of April, writes Teknisk Ukeblad.

The court will decide on the outcome of Easee’s appeal against the Swedish supervisory authorities’ sales ban for the products Home and Charge. The starting point for cases is whether the company has had sufficient documentation that they have followed the standards they declared compliance with.

At the end of last year, there were a total of 704,647 installed charging boxes from the company. These carried out 82 million charging sessions last year, delivering a total of 1.5 million megawatt hours.

According to the report, which addresses all the concerns raised by the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority (ESV), there were a total of 3,075 errors that the company describes as critical, which corresponds to a total critical error rate of 0.44 percent.

Of these, there were 1739 cases of excessive temperature, 440 were cases where the power could not be interrupted when the charging box had to be disconnected, while 376 cases concerned earth faults that failed and 520 cases concerned dead charging boxes.
