– Two people have died, and the incident happened at a private address. The police received a report about one person at 4:10 p.m., and when the emergency services arrived, life-saving first aid was immediately started at the scene, but the person was declared dead after a short time, says operations manager Stein Rune Halleraker to VG at 5:55 p.m.

He says that another person was found nearby.

– One person was found who was so badly injured that life-saving first aid was started. The person was declared dead after a short time, says Halleraker.

Halleraker says that no arrests have yet been made.

– We have gone wide. We are searching for people and trying to find out what happened. We have deployed large investigation resources, says Halleraker.

He says that the incident is currently being investigated as a suspicious death.

– We work broadly in relation to hypotheses, says Halleraker.

The next of kin have not been notified, says Halleraker.

– The police do not have the full picture yet, we are at the very beginning of a murder investigation. Two people have been found out here. Health came first, and was called by people in the area. They found a woman on the outside of an apartment, who was very badly injured, says police task leader Frank Listøl to TV 2.

He says that the police came to the scene and entered the apartment, where they found another person badly injured. Both were transported to Haukeland Hospital, and have subsequently been declared dead.

The police do not have personal information on the two dead, and next of kin have not been notified, he says just before 6pm.

– The police are now facing a murder investigation here in Bergen, and we have rigged our organization for it, says Listøl.

No danger to others

The task leader says that they are in the very beginning phase and do not have much more information.

He further says that they have no reason to believe that there is a “person in operation” that they should have access to.

– There is nothing to indicate that there is a danger to other people in the area, and no people have been evacuated, the police write in a press release at 17:56.

They further write that the police are working with great resources to find out who they are and what happened at the scene, as of now this is unclear.

Two died

It was around 4.10pm that the police operations center received a report about the incident.

– There was a report of the discovery of a bloody person on the street outside a residential building. We arrived at the scene shortly after, and life-saving first aid was immediately initiated and the person was sent to Haukeland Hospital. The person was pronounced dead at the hospital after a while, the police report just before 6 p.m.

In parallel with this, greater work was initiated to find the cause of the incident, and in connection with this, another bloody person was found inside a nearby address.

This person was immediately taken to hospital, and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
