Task leader Kim Stokke in the police confirms this to TA.

– We have discovered a human being in the water, says Stokke.

The incident leader states that crime technicians are now on their way to remove the person in question from the water.

– Just before 7pm this evening, we were contacted by someone up here who had seen something that looked like a person out in the water by Skotfoss church. We have now been out on the scene together with the fire service and can confirm that we have made a discovery of what looks like a human lying in the crust of the water, says the team leader.

Volunteers have been searching for a missing man at Skotfoss since Sunday.

– The person has not been identified, but we see the find in connection with the search for the man who has been reported missing from the area, says police inspector Odd Skei Kostveit.

Kostveit says that it is too early to be able to say anything about what may have happened to the person who was found. He further says that the person will be sent for an autopsy.

The relatives of the missing man are aware of the find.

The dead person was found out in the river at Skotfoss.

TA’s photographer on the scene states that there are several police patrols and firefighters on site.

The police have cordoned off a large area.

A 35-year-old has been missing in the area since Saturday afternoon. He had been visiting a woman at Skotfoss, who was arrested by the police when she was walking around with a hammer.

The volunteer search team must have made the discovery.
