The American actress Barbara Rush, known among other things for her roles in 1950s films such as “Magnificent Obsession” and “The Young Philadelphians”, has died. She lived to be 97 years old.
This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter, which refers to Fox News, where Barbara Rush’s daughter, Claudia Cowan, has confirmed the death. The daughter says that Barbara Rush died on Easter Eve.

Claudia Cowan was with her mother until her last breath, she tells the TV channel.
In addition to the 1950s dramas such as “Magnificent Obsession” and “The Young Philadelphians”, Barbara Rush was also known from the 1953 sci-fi film “It Came from Outer Space”.
The following year, Barbara Rush won a Golden Globe Award for her role in “It Came from Outer Space”.
Barbara Rush is survived by her children Claudia Cowan and Christopher Hunter.
