A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the fact that a woman was found dead in an apartment on Grünerløkka in Oslo.

– The police have arrested and charged a man with the murder of a woman. The accused links himself to the act.
As of now, the police are not looking for any more perpetrators.
– The police will investigate the case throughout the day, and we have forensic experts at the scene.
Was on the spot
The police’s incident leader at the scene, Arve Røtterud, tells NTB that they received a report of a serious incident of violence at around 3 o’clock on Monday night.
– When we arrived, we could ascertain that one person had been killed. The perpetrator was also at the scene, says Røtterud.
The police do not know the relationship between the two.
No witnesses
According to Røtterud, there have been no witnesses to the incident.
– We have been in contact with the neighboring apartments, but no one has brought anything special, so we do not have much more information at the moment, says the task leader.
Around 4.30 a.m., the police’s crime scene technicians arrived at the scene.
– Seizures have been made in the case, which we also believe were used to carry out the murder, says the task leader.
This is the 17th case where the police in this country have started a murder investigation in 2024. In total there are 22 victims in the various cases.
