Samsung may challenge the Apple Vision Pro with unique training functions
“Samsung may introduce a new VR headset with more advanced features than Apple’s Vision Pro,” explains Chinmay Dhumal from MSP. Dubbed “communication methods and apparatus using avatars in virtual space,” the patent describes how a potential product could show the user virtual avatars in the real world, and place objects and such avatars in the real world by retrieving information about the surroundings.
Strangely, there are no direct references to a headset, although everything hints in that direction. And this is where something else interesting is revealed, namely that potential headsets can retrieve information such as calorie consumption and heart rate from devices such as smartwatches. This will make it much easier to train and compete with others.
