Therese Johaug (35) has by no means been on the lazy side after she put her skis on the shelf in 2022. Not only is she training for a potential WC comeback next year, but has also had great success on the business front.

With both a clothing brand, training trips and skin care, she has her hands full, and now another innovation from the mother of young children is being launched.

– The days go by, I’m not bored. But I am a girl with a lot of energy and enjoy it, Johaug eagerly tells Nettavisen.

The cross-country skier is behind the app “Sunn og sterk”, a training portal where she offers help with training and wants to create a forum for customers. The app is made for those who “want purposeful training, but find it difficult to achieve in a hectic everyday life”, she has previously described.

Lots of balls in the air

There is little doubt that daily life is hectic for the mother of young children herself. Together with her husband Nils Jakob Hoff, she had her daughter Kristin on 17 May last year. Now she juggles the life of a toddler with, among other things, the launch of an app and other business pursuits.

The “Healthy and strong” concept starts every month and anyone can sign up. Johaug says that she will post training sessions weekly and that she will share tips and tricks from a long top sports career. The sessions you complete can be logged in the app.

She started the project herself and is behind it.

– The work is quite intense during the day, laughs Johaug and continues:

– I am the one who arranges all content and is responsible.

Johaug explains that the participants, among other things, get access to her favorite recipes and that they also get various challenges related to the training along the way.

– I feel better

The cross-country star is very keen on physical activity and therefore wants to inspire others in the same direction.

– I get a lot of energy from being out in nature and like to push my own limits. Especially after becoming a mother, I’ve noticed that getting outside, even for half an hour or an hour, makes me feel better.

The app joins the series of various concepts and projects Johaug has embarked on after she put her skis on the shelf. Training trips are also something the mother of young children has been doing more of recently.

– It slips into each other a little, with physical activity and training. It’s part of the Johaug brand and something I’m passionate about, training and inspiring people.
