Frisk Asker coach Roy Johansen confirms to TV 2 that the club has lodged a protest after the 3-5 loss in the first semi-final match in the play-offs against Storhamar.

Monday 1 April at 21:16

– The organizer turns on the goal light and disturbs our goalkeeper just before Storhamar’s third goal last time. It has a direct impact on the final result, says Johansen to TV 2.

At that point, Frisk led 3-2. Storhamar finally turned the game around and won 5-3. The match was the first of potentially seven possible semi-final matches.

– Then the rules are clear: An organizer error that affects the final result must be dealt with in the protest committee and we expect the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association to address that, and not just turn a blind eye. They have to deal with that, says Johansen.

The two teams are now playing it others the semi-final. Frisk now leads 5-4 in the third period of the match in Asker, which can be followed here.

Storhamar profile Patrick Thoresen received a match penalty after a head tackle on Frisk Askers Eskild Wold in the first period. The decision was made after a review of the situation on video.
