With two league rounds remaining, Aker is four points behind second-placed Follo, who won both teams’ head-to-head this season.

After their victory, Fana are two points ahead of Romerike and three ahead of Follo, who are likely to have to play qualifying matches against teams from the 1st division.

Fana was down 14-17 at half-time, and Aker still had a three-goal lead of 17-20 for ten minutes into the second half, but then Fana scored four times in a row.

The match wavered for a while, but Aker had its last lead at 22-23 eight and a half minutes before the end. Fana scored their last goal with three and a half minutes left, but managed to keep away.

Sara Berg and Martine Kårigstad Andersen scored eight goals each for Fana, Freja Vinther Christensen six for Aker.

With nine goals from Camilla Herrem, Sola decided the battle for third place with 35-29 away to Fredrikstad. Sola are now five points ahead of fourth-placed Fredrikstad and six ahead of Larvik, who lost 23-31 to league champion Vipers Kristiansand.

Vipers, who secured the series championship last week, took their 24th win out of as many possible and are six points ahead of Storhamar, twelve ahead of Sola. Lysa Tchaptchet led the way with five goals.
