Actually, “the big five”, i.e. the countries that have pre-qualified for the final, were supposed to meet the press at 18.30 on Friday evening.

Marcus and Martinus, who represent the host country Sweden and are thus also pre-qualified, were also scheduled to participate.

– The press conference has been canceled because all the artists want to focus on the rehearsal, write the organizers of the song competition.

The cancellation comes shortly after it became known that the EBU has begun investigations into the Dutch contribution Joost following an “incident”. It is not known which incident it is in question.

Because of this, Joost did not participate in the first dress rehearsal before Saturday’s Eurovision final, which took place on Friday afternoon.

There has been speculation as to whether the incident relates to his behavior towards Israel’s contribution.

The big five are France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain and Germany.

SVT reports that the Netherlands’ Eurovision contestant was in a physical confrontation with a TV photographer.
