– I have had four and a half excellent years at West Ham, and the club is in a stronger position than when I returned in 2019, says Moyes in the club’s press release.

– When I joined West Ham for the second time, the club was one place above the relegation zone, and it has been a fantastic journey to achieve three consecutive seasons of European Cup play, he says further.

Moyes, who previously coached Everton, Real Sociedad and Manchester United, guided West Ham to the Conference League title last season.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Julen Lopetegui is likely to be Moyes’ replacement next season.

The former Spanish national team coach has already accepted West Ham’s contract proposal, reports Romano.

Lopetegui has previously visited Real Madrid, Sevilla and Wolverhampton in his coaching career.

West Ham are in ninth place in the Premier League, but have a negative form curve and are winless in their last six games.

At the weekend, Moyes and co. 0-5 away against Chelsea in the Premier League.
