On Wednesday, the Meteorological Institute recorded high temperatures and summer weather across the country, with Bergen as the weather winner.

– Yesterday we recorded over 20 degrees in all the counties in southern Norway! Northern Norway was close behind with its 19.3 degrees in Brønnøysund. But it was Bergen that won with its 23.6 degrees, reports Yr.

On Thursday it will be just as good, if not better, we are to believe the Meteorologists at X, formerly Twitter.

– There are even more people who get temperatures above 18 degrees on Thursday.

According to the meteorologists, the people of Oslo can look forward to 21 degrees and sunshine on Thursday, while in Trondheim full sun and 18 degrees have been forecast.

Bergen continues to wake up in the heat peak, and a full 24 degrees is expected on Thursday.

Cooler in the north – windy in the south

In one part of the country, however, it may appear that the weather will be somewhat worse on Thursday than earlier in the week.

Tromsø set a record for the number of hours of sunshine in April this year, but on Thursday, according to the weather forecast, there is a cloud cover over the city.

In the far south of the country, temperatures are around 18 degrees, but here accompanied by wind. It probably affects the possibility of the very highest temperatures, the Meteorologists say.

– The probability on the Sørland coast is somewhat lower due to wind and clouds, it is concluded.

A false start to the swimming season?

In the hot sun, is it tempting to take a bath?

In that case, you have to steel yourself that the temperatures in the sea still have something to go on vis-à-vis the summer months.

The warmest bathing water is found where the temperature in the air is the highest, namely Bergen, which can show up to 10.9 degrees.

In the capital, the bathing temperature is 9.2 degrees, while in Trondheim you have to adjust to 7.5 degrees in the water.

Stavanger and Kristiansand can show temperatures in roughly the same range, with 8.7 and 9.4 degrees respectively.

Further north, temperatures are slightly lower. Both in Tromsø and Alta, the bathing water measures 4.6 degrees.
