He says the proposal also involves the possible release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the remaining hostages in the Gaza Strip.
– I hope that Hamas accepts this agreement, says Cameron, who believes that the whole world should try to pressure the Palestinian group to say yes.
He calls the Israeli offer very generous, which US Foreign Minister Antony Blinken also does.

Both are attending a meeting under the auspices of the World Economic Forum in Riyadh, where ministers from a number of Arab and Western countries have gathered to discuss a ceasefire. The US, Egypt and Qatar have been trying to broker a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas since January. A number of other countries have also been involved in the experiments.
A Hamas delegation was expected to meet mediators from Egypt and Qatar in Cairo on Monday to discuss Hamas’ response to the Israeli proposal. On Sunday evening, a senior Hamas source said that the group views the proposal positively.
