On Thursday, Nettavisen and several other media mentioned Supreme Court judge Jens Edvin Skoghøy (67), who was supposed to have been poisoned, but who recovered after a hospital stay.

– This is very unpleasant and I really don’t want this to be public, said Skoghøy.

He nevertheless spoke to Nettavisen on Thursday, because the information had become public. According to him, the doctors concluded that he had been poisoned. There must have been talk of an anesthetic. He hoped not to have to comment on the matter beyond this.

Now his wife, Nataliia Andreassen Skoghøy, is responding to the accusations. She denies having poisoned him, and says this is something her husband is making up.

– These are empty words from Jens Edvin. I have not poisoned him at all, says his wife Nataliia Andreassen Skoghøy to Nordlys on Monday.

The police told Nettavisen on Thursday that no one had the status of being charged. Both Aftenposten and Rett24 relayed Skogshøy’s claim that it was his younger Ukrainian wife who was behind the alleged poisoning, writes VG on Monday.

Police inspector Per Thomas Omholt informs VG on Monday that the case is no longer an investigation case, and that the police are now over an investigation phase. He will not say anything about a possible suspect at this time.

– In an investigation case, we can only do short preliminary investigations, now we have gone ahead with several investigative steps, he explains.

Nettavisen was also aware that Skoghøy believed it was the wife who was behind the poisoning in connection with the first case, but was unable to get in touch with her for a comment.

Nordlys has confronted the Supreme Court judge with the allegations from his wife. He does not wish to comment further on the matter.
