Munch’s “Scream” joins the ranks of works of art that have been tried to be damaged by climate activists recently.

The case is updated!

On Friday, two activists tried to glue themselves to Munch’s “Scream” at the National Museum in Oslo.

This is reported by the journal Tidens Ånd.

The police in Oslo writes on Twitter that they are present at the National Museum.

– We are at the National Museum following a message from the guards there. They had taken control of three people, two of whom had tried to glue themselves to a painting.

The police write that the people did not succeed in gluing themselves, but that there are glue residues on the glass display.

There is no report of damage to the painting.

Recently, several works of art have become a means of action for climate activists worldwide. In October, the artwork “Høystakk” had buttered mashed potatoes smeared on it in the German city of Potsdam.

Earlier that month, two climate activists from Just Stop Oil tomato soup also threw Vincent van Gogh’s painting “Sunflowers” at Britain’s National Gallery.
