The police had to deal with many drunken and quarrelsome revelers last night.

It started at midnight at Jessheim, with a lady in her 20s who drank in a public place.

– She got into an argument and refused to comply with the police’s orders, so she was expelled from the city centre. She was clearly drunk, says Pål Bjelland, operations manager in the East police district.

At 01 o’clock a man in his 40s was expelled from the center of Jessheim. At 01:30 the same thing happened to a boy in his late teens.

– Both were drunk and arguing, notes Bjelland.

Saliva test results

At 01 on Kongsvingervegen a UP patrol stopped a motorist in his late 50s.

– A saliva sample was taken, which showed the presence of narcotic preparations. A blood sample has been taken and a case will be opened, says Bjelland.

The saliva test showed opiates and amphetamines.

– We are waiting for the blood test to assess how big the impact was, says Bjelland.

The police had been tipped off about the driver, who was stopped on the border with Eidsvoll.

At 01:30 the police had to attending to a drunken man in his early 20s who was arguing with a security guard. He was expelled from the center of Jessheim, but returned after half an hour.

– He did not comply with our order and was informed that he would be reported. Then he had a girlfriend and a friend who he took with him, and then we solved it that way, says Bjelland.

– There were some older people arguing with some younger people. The police caught the man who was the most violent, and he refused to comply with the patrol’s orders. He is reported for that, says Bjelland.

Vandalism outside correctional facilities

At 4:30 a.m. became a man in his late 30s, caught red-handed by the police, when he vandalized an electrical cabinet outside the correctional service’s premises in Lillestrøm.

– He tore open the door to the electrical cabinet. He was very drunk, notes Bjelland.

The man was expelled from the scene, and will be reported for damage.

The Russian behaved

On the night of Sunday, the police received only one complaint about loud music from the Russians.

– They have behaved tolerably well, says Bjelland.
