A few days ago, a company discovered a mysterious freezer on the seabed with a so-called ROBBERY in connection with a job for the farming company Nordlaks.
Footage has been taken underwater, and the images allegedly show that the box has been tried to be sealed.
The discovery was made just west of Innhavet in Hamarøy.
This is in the same municipality where Stian Hole has been missing since June 2023.
Police attorney Torje Imøy confirms to NRK that a suspicious discovery has been made, and that they are now working on the logistics of lifting.

– Consider it suspicious
NRK has seen a picture which is supposed to show the freezer in question at the bottom of the fjord.
The police were quickly notified after the box was discovered.
Torjei Imøy, police attorney at the police in Nordland, says they can confirm that they have received information that a freezer-like object has been found in Hamarøy.
He points out that they currently have no evidence to link this to the Stian Hole case.
– However, we will work to have this finding lifted.

Imøy says that it was a private actor who carries out work in the area who notified the police about the suspicious find.
NRK has been in contact with the company, which does not wish to comment on the matter.
The police attorney says the object is in deep water, approximately 250 metres.
– We consider this to be suspicious and will work to get this raised.
Must investigate further
Despite the fact that the police regard the find as suspicious, Imøy points out several times that they have no evidence to connect the find to the Stian Hole case.
He also says that as of today, the police have no indications that there are remains in the freezer.
It is unclear how quickly the police will get the freezer box outside Innhavet in Hamarøy raised.

But since the find appears mysterious, the police will now work to have it raised so that they can carry out further investigations.
– We have to talk to the right actors to get this done in a responsible and good way so that the object is secured.
When asked how the police will possibly comment on the discovery of remains, Imøy answers:
– I cannot speculate on that at the present time.
