Latest: – At 09.30 Avinor reports that the error has been corrected and the airspace is gradually opening to traffic. Due to the incident, there will unfortunately be delays throughout the day, writes Avinor in a press release.

By then, nearly two hours had passed since Avinor, at 06.46, reported the problems.

– Due to a technical error at the Oslo Control Center, the airspace over southern Norway is temporarily closed. Significant delays are expected. Duration is currently unknown. We encourage all travelers to refer to the information they receive from their airline. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes, they write.

Early on Thursday morning, several planes were ready for the day’s first departures at Torp when the problems started. As a result, no aircraft took off as planned.

– We are also affected by this. No aircraft are currently allowed to take off. We have several planes with passengers on board that are ready for departure, but they have to wait. There are communication problems at Røyken. We currently do not know how long this will take, traffic development and communications manager Tine Kleive-Mathisen reported in an SMS to SB just before 07.30.

A scheduled arrival from Warsaw just after 07:00 also had to turn around and fly back to Poland’s capital. The plane made a turn southeast of Gothenburg.
